FMCSA Compliance Workshops November 2025 Series
Presented by the Virginia Trucking Association, (VTA) in conjunction with Fleet Safe Solutions, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Field Office, Richmond, VA and the Virginia State Police – Motor Carrier Safety Team (VSPMCST).
In continuing to keep our members and the Virginia trucking community trained and educated with up-to-date information regarding FMCSA Compliance, we are pleased to offer this series of workshops this fall.
These workshops provide a venue for interactive and educational presentations with FMCSA representatives, Virginia State Police Motor Carrier Safety Team representatives along with DOT Drug and Alcohol industry professionals. They provide an excellent opportunity for questions specific to your operation.

- 10:45 - 12:00am - FMCSA Drug/Alcohol Testing Program Basics & Understanding the Impact of the Clearinghouse II Requirements (Instructor – Kim Claytor, Compliance Director, FleetSafe Solutions)
- 12:00-1:00pm - LUNCH (Provided by the VTA)
- 1:00pm-2:00pm - ELD’s and Hours of Service-Current Regulations In depth review of Part 395 for Long Haul and Short Haul operations (Instructor – FMCSA Representative)
- 2:00 – 2:45pm - Vehicle Maintenance Recordkeeping Requirements and Drivers Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports - A comprehensive look at the recordkeeping requirements of Part 396 (Instructor- FMCSA Representative)

- 3:00-4:30pm - Roadside Inspections and Cargo Securement- A review of the current CVSA Levels of Inspection roadside inspectors use. A brief look at Cargo Securement (Instructor – VSP Motor Carrier Safety Team)
