2023 Virginia Truck Driving Championships

The VTA is excited to share that the 2023 Virginia Truck Driving Championships will be held in Petersburg and Colonial Heights, June 2-3.
We'll kick things off with the pre-trip inspection and field tests at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 2, at Richard Bland College in Petersburg followed by the written tests and annual BBQ dinner later that evening, both of which will be held at Keystone Truck and Tractor Museum in Colonial Heights.
Field tests will continue at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning and the event will conclude later that afternoon.
Additional details and registration forms will be sent out soon.
However, with travel and lodging continuing to be in high demand, we are strongly encouraging companies and drivers to reserve their hotel rooms ahead of time if they plan to attend. Please be sure to comply with the hotel's cancellation policy if necessary, so you won't incur a penalty.
While the VTA has decided not to reserve a block of rooms for this year's TDC participants, we have researched 4-star hotels within a 15-minute radius and listed them below:
Again, it is strongly recommended that you book your accommodations as soon as possible and make note of the cancellation requirements if you end up not needing the rooms.
